NYFEA Affiliate Membership
Objectives
To build a stronger network of Young Beginning Producers and Young Agribusiness Professionals through the involvement of local organizations.
NYFEA will provide the tools that assist affiliate organizations with local meetings and offer educational curriculum options.
To tie affiliates to a national communication network that lets their individual participants stay aware of the opportunities available at the National Ag Leadership Conference (annual summer meeting) and the National Institute (annual winter meeting).
To provide individual members of affiliates the opportunity to benefit from self-study leadership programs sponsored by NYFEA.
To strengthen the involvement in NYFEA by encouraging Young Farmer chapters, collegiate ag organizations, state affiliates, commodity groups, corporations, civic entities and other educational organizations to work together to create a more diverse voice and greater assortment of educational perspectives on issues.
Why Should an Organization Become an NYFEA Affiliate?
Activities will be coordinated to address important issues in agriculture.
NYFEA will develop networking opportunities and educational programs that enhance the success potential of local participants.
While many local organizations are affiliated with specific commodity groups, the affiliate membership program is to provide a place for the participants of these local entities to be able to work together with participants from other agricultural groups.
Dues Options:
1. Base local affiliates: $250 base for less than 25 participants
2. For all entities with 100 or more participants, they could join as affiliates for $2 per person. They receive the all of the privileges of regular members with the exception of benefits. Must join under an all-inclusive status.
Membership Benefits
Leadership Retreats, Tours, Seminars and entertainment (summer at NALC/winter at Institute).
Networking, Tours and Motivational Speakers.
Individuals interested in participating in the above designated programs will be sent a registration form to complete. The Institute and the NALC will be open to every affiliate participant.

Stipulation of Affiliate Organizations
Participation as an affiliate organization does not count toward the seating of delegates. For individuals to be included in the count for delegates, they must be regular members. also, individuals associated with affiliate membership do not receive money-saving benefits
